for OS X Mavericks
If you are using an Apple product at some time or the other
you will require some form of trouble shooting and support. There are few things
that generally go wrong with apple products however this is not to say that
there is nothing that ever goes wrong with apple products.
There are times when customers face problems with the device
that they are using, and one of the typical regions that require support is the
Apple Mail OS X Mavericks. This is an incredibly important feature for the users
of apple computers, and this is an inbuilt application.
Users have commonly reported problems with the moving of
mails, deleting mails, retrieving mails and a whole lot more. Generally the
bulk of the problems with the Mail OS X Mavericks is the fact that it treats
Gmail accounts differently from other email accounts, and here is where the
problem begins.
The disconnect between Apple Mails Application and Gmail is
the fact that Gmail has a very unconventional IMAP system, or in other words
uses IMAP in a very different manner from other mail servers.
As a result of all this the email application mavericks doesn’t
always provide a lot of convenience, and definitely not the way that it should
be done. This leaves users very frustrated and not pleased with the services
that they’re receiving.
One of the possible solutions that is available for users
that are facing problems with the system is fixing
permissions after visiting disk
utility.
Another method that is commonly used is restarting the mail,
which forces it to download all the mails that are pending.
Another recommended method by Apple is to choose mailbox and
take all accounts offline, this
action is then followed by choose mailbox
get all new mail. You also have the
option of creating a shortcut to perform this action automatically, this is
done by Choose View and Customize Toolbar.
